10 Plants That Can Survive California’s Winter Season

With the winter season approaching, it’s time to make room for winter crops! There are many crops that can’t handle the cold, especially with the threat of frost. These plants adapt to the colder climate, perfect for a winter harvest.   

 

Flowers

This winter flower is bright pink and attracts hummingbirds to your garden! 

Snapdragon 

Snapdragons are frost-resistant and range from vibrant shades of pink, yellow, red, and white.  

Sweet pea 

Sweet pea is an easy to grow flower that’s perfect for the winter and gives off a sweet scent. 

Hydrangea 

Hydrangea is a winter-blooming flower that goes dormant during the winter and revives with a spring soaking. 

Pansies 

Unlike other flowers, pansies grow well during the cold season since their roots benefit from cold temperatures!
