Beneficial Microbial Combo – from Pre-planting to Post-Harvest

Healthy plants come from healthy soil, and healthy soil includes living microbes. Plants are unable to take the nutrition they need from the soil without microbes working in the soil. As living microbes consume the nutrients they need to survive, they create plant foods like nitrogen, carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, phosphorus, potassium, trace minerals and even work as biostimulant for our plants.

Soluphos® SP is recommended to be used first in this combo before the planting. It contains a phosphate solubilizing bacteria Bacillus licheniformis. Most phosphorus in the ground is insoluble and not available to the plants. Soluphos SP solubilizes phosphorus allowing plant roots to be surrounded by available phosphorus eliminating stress on the plants resulting in better growth and yield.

Promot® Plus is recommended to be used second as a microbial seed treatment or mixed in the soil with seedlings. The two strains of microorganism Trichoderma produce growth factors that stimulate seed germination. They also increase the vigor and health of plants resulting in a resistance to diseases such as Rhizoctonia and Pythium. Research indicates that plants treated with Promot® Plus were more resistant to damping off.

BioAct® SD is recommended to be used post-harvest. Faster decomposition is possible thanks to BioAct® SD’s diverse and abundant microorganism population. These microorganisms kick-start a decomposition cycle that increases available plant nutrients and organic matter in the soil.
